Their connection to Inn from the Cold began more than 25 years ago, when the organization was first established in the basement of St. Mary’s Cathedral – their church community. Long dedicated to supporting individuals facing difficult circumstances, Don and Susie were inspired by The INN’s mission to provide families with shelter, meals, and the support needed to regain stability and reconnect with their community.

What began as an annual donation has grown into a deeply meaningful partnership. After increasing their support in 2022 and 2023, the couple made a transformative commitment of $100,000 annually for five years, along with a $500,000 life insurance gift to help ensure The INN can continue supporting families for generations to come.

Their generosity has had a significant impact on The INN’s Child & Youth Development programs. As former competitive athletes, Don and Susie understand the lasting benefits of recreation and organized activities. Their support creates opportunities for children to build confidence, develop new skills, form friendships, and experience moments of joy during a challenging time in their lives.
